CHIH-HSUAN FANG
Independent Curator
Chihhsuan Fang, a third-year PhD student at National Taiwan Normal
University, specializes in Art Theory. He is an independent curator and visual
artist actively involved in Taiwan's art scene, with extensive experience in
curating and exhibition practices across diverse fields. Noteworthy
institutions, including Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab, Taoyuan Children's Art
Museum, and Pingtung Art Museum, have recognized his projects through open
calls for curating.
His research focuses on art history and the phenomenon of diaspora. He has with short-term research studies conducted in Lake Powell, USA, and Montreal, Canada. Currently, stationed at the Taiwan Technical Mission in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, he has formulated a video project. His artistic works explore the dynamics of individuals within different group relationships and attempt to express the relative issues in between. Additionally, he has served as a resident researcher at the Taoyuan Art Museum and a research assistant at the Taiwan Art History Research Center of National Taiwan Normal University.
