Lucid Dream immerses viewers in a plant's sensory world, where rain and wind become more than physical phenomena. Drawing from the concept of Umwelts, an organism’s self-centered perception, we use intelligent computing to model plant-environment interactions. This model is then transformed into an artistic expression, allowing audiences to experience nature through a non-human perspective.
The project unfolds in phases: ecological investigation, perception displacement, and artistic recontextualization. A bio-amplifier collects biosignals from forest plants, cross-analyzed with climate data to reveal plant-community dynamics. Extracted from its natural setting, this data is transferred to a controlled environment and reinterpreted artistically.
