Cradle represents the water source within the exhibition’s ecosystem, competing for environmental control to benefit plants and create a more suitable living environment for non-human organisms in the space. Moss, an early plant group that evolved without vascular tissues, serves as a bio-hybrid medium to sense external humidity conditions. By detecting the bioelectrical resistance on the moss's surface, the system calculates the humidity levels sensed by the moss, enabling it to control humidifiers to maintain an environment that suits its survival needs.
This shifts the space from being human-centric to one where multiple species collectively shape the conditions, prioritizing those that support plant growth and reproduction.
